Can my current employer see me here?
Not if you tell us who they are. Add their email domain under “Hidden from these companies” and they are left out of every shortlist, whatever role they are hiring — the same works for a former employer or a client. Even without that list, what a company sees before it unlocks you is your initials, your experience and a CV with your name and contact blacked out. What we cannot do is guess who your employer is: leave the list empty and, if they are hiring your role on Flowmingo, they are a matching company like any other — so add them first.

- Who is this for?
- Anyone looking quietly — especially if you already have a job and are open to something better. Nothing is public, nothing is sent in your name, and your search stays yours. If you are between jobs it still works; you simply have less to hide.
- Who can see my profile?
- Companies hiring on Flowmingo, looking at candidates for a live role — you appear on that role's shortlist, ranked by how well you fit it. Never a public page, never a search on the web, never a company on your hidden list. And only you can put yourself here.
- What exactly do they see?
- Your experience, skills and seniority, where you are, what you expect to earn, and how well you match their role. Your name shows as initials, and your CV has your name, email, phone and social links blacked out — until the company unlocks your profile.
- What does “unlock” mean?
- A company that wants to reach you unlocks your full CV and contact details — that is the moment it sees your name. It is a paid step on the company's side, which is why an invitation from the pool is a real one: someone decided you fit and paid to say so.
- How will they contact me, and through what?
- By email — to the address you signed up to Flowmingo with, not whatever is printed on your CV. When a company decides you fit we send its invitation there on its behalf: an interview, a role-play or a conversation. You do not have to watch your inbox for it, though. The same invitation is on your Flowmingo dashboard, which is where everything about you stays up to date, and the bell tells you it arrived. You reply from your own inbox and the conversation is yours; we are not on that thread. A company that has unlocked you also has your contact details, so it can write or call you directly.
- Do I have to keep a profile up to date?
- No. Your CV is the profile. When something changes, upload the newer file and every shortlist from then on uses it. Your job preferences — the roles, the level, where you want to work — are the only other thing we read, and you set them once.
- How do I hide my current employer?
- On the Get Discovered page, under “Hidden from these companies”, add their email domain — the part after the @ in their addresses. Every recruiter at that company is covered, for every role they post. Add a former employer or a client the same way.
- Can I pause it?
- Yes — one switch, any time, and you leave every shortlist that moment. Switch it back on and you are in the pool again with your CV as it stands; there is nothing to rebuild.
