Will my current employer find out?
It can, and we would rather say so here than let you find out. We pick who receives it by job match, so if your own employer has your role open, they can be one of the companies we write to — there is no exclusion list. You see an example of the email first, you set how many are sent a day starting at one, and disconnecting the mailbox stops everything that moment. Job hunting quietly? Leave outreach off and switch on Get Discovered instead: nothing public, nothing searchable, no email in your name.
Straight answers
What people ask before they connect a mailbox.
- Do I need a Gmail account?
- Yes — for now outreach sends through Gmail and nothing else. If you job hunt from Outlook or a work address, this one is not for you yet, and we would rather tell you here than at the sign-in screen. Everything else on Flowmingo works whatever your email is.
- Can you read my email?
- We cannot. Google shows you three permissions when you connect, and those three are all we get — send email as you, read message headers (the sender, the time, the subject line, never the body), and your name and address so the email can be signed. Headers are how we know a reply came back. What is written inside your emails we never see. Take the permission back in your Google account and it all stops that minute.
- Who writes it, and can I change it?
- We draft it from your CV against that company's open role — the email above is a real sample, not a dressed-up one. You read it before you switch anything on, and you set the name it is signed with and the language it is written in. You do not rewrite each email one by one. If the draft does not sound like you, leave it switched off.
- Will this get my Gmail marked as spam?
- It is the risk we take most seriously, because damage to your own address is not reversible. That is why the daily limit starts at one, not forty, and why an email only goes out on a strong match — a few real letters a week, not a campaign. You can raise the limit once replies start coming, and lower it again whenever you want.
- What happens when a company replies?
- It lands in your inbox and the conversation is yours from there. We are not on the thread, we do not answer for you, and we never see what either of you wrote.
