What the Recruitee integration does
Send a Flowmingo AI interview or role-play simulation to a candidate without leaving Recruitee, and get the result back on the candidate card:
- From a candidate's profile, Send test → pick one of your Flowmingo interview sets → send. Flowmingo emails the candidate the interview link (Recruitee sends nothing itself).
- The candidate completes the interview in the browser, on any device, in their language.
- When the AI evaluation is ready, the candidate's Recruitee card shows a score badge (0–100 %) and an Open button that opens the full Flowmingo report — transcript, per-question scores and the hiring recommendation.
The integration is available on every Flowmingo plan that includes the public API.
Step 1 — Create your Flowmingo API key
Recruitee authenticates to Flowmingo with an API key that belongs to your Flowmingo organisation.
- In Flowmingo, open Settings → Integrations → API keys (an organisation admin sees this tab).
- Click Create API key, give it a name such as
Recruitee, and choose the scopes Read hiring data (read_hiring) and Invite candidates (invite_candidates). The preset AI assistant — read + actions includes both. - Copy the key — it is shown once. It looks like
fl_live_xxxxxxxxx.….
Keep the key private: anyone holding it can invite candidates under your organisation. You can revoke it from the same tab at any time, which disconnects Recruitee immediately.
Step 2 — Connect Flowmingo in Recruitee
- In Recruitee, go to Marketplace → Assessments → Flowmingo and click Integrate.
- Accept the integration terms, paste your Flowmingo API key into the Token field and click Integrate. Recruitee checks the key against Flowmingo on the spot; a wrong or revoked key is refused here.
- Under Settings of the integration, choose which Recruitee roles may View results and Send tests.
Only one Flowmingo organisation can be connected per Recruitee company. To switch organisations, remove the integration and connect again with the other organisation's key.
Step 3 — Send an interview to a candidate
- Open the candidate in Recruitee. In the right-hand column, find the Flowmingo block and click Send test.
- Check the candidate's first name, last name and email address — Flowmingo emails the invitation to that address.
- Choose the interview set under Tests. The list is your organisation's active AI interview sets and role-play simulations in Flowmingo, newest first.
- Click Send. Recruitee shows Sent to Flowmingo; the candidate receives the invitation email within a couple of minutes, and a new submission appears in Flowmingo under that interview set.
Sending the same test to the same candidate again from Recruitee does not create a second invitation — the original one is kept.
Step 4 — Read the results
As soon as the candidate's interview is evaluated and released to your team, Flowmingo writes the result back to the Recruitee report:

Results normally arrive within a few minutes of the candidate finishing. If your Flowmingo plan holds reports for a candidate retake or review window, the badge appears when that window closes.
Troubleshooting
"Invalid token" when integrating. The key was mistyped, revoked, or lacks a scope. Create a new key with Read hiring data and Invite candidates and integrate again.
The Tests list is empty. Your Flowmingo organisation has no active AI interview set or role-play simulation yet. Create one in Flowmingo (Hiring projects → interview set) and reopen Send test.
The candidate did not receive the email. Check the address on the Recruitee card, then the submission in Flowmingo (Hiring projects → the interview set → candidates): the invitation and its delivery status are shown there, and you can resend from Flowmingo.
The score has not come back. The candidate may not have finished; open Flowmingo to see the submission's state. Scores are written back automatically — there is nothing to refresh in Recruitee.
