Each answer is transcribed and rated against the requirements you wrote, so a Spanish and a Vietnamese applicant are measured on the same criteria. How the score is produced.

Language requirements and transcription

Per-answer scoring focuses on content. The evaluation rates the answer against the requirements you wrote, and the scoring instruction says in as many words that accent and fluency are not the subject.

If the job needs a language, make it a requirement and set its importance. Then it counts in the score, visibly. The weights are published.

Transcription quality varies by language and by recording conditions. An answer that cannot be transcribed receives no per-answer score. Missing requirement evidence is handled separately.
