VidCruiter pricing: list prices and what public buyers pay

Flowmingo Editorial TeamFlowmingo Editorial Team15 mins read
VidCruiter pricing: a 1-year invoice for the median Canadian federal VidCruiter contract, CA$35,910 or about $25,700, stands nearly 5 times taller than a small list-price card reading $5,236 a year, beside the VidCruiter logo.

You have 1,000 applicants a year to screen on video, and VidCruiter pricing sits behind a request form. Every guide you find repeats the same line: from about $5,000 a year.

That $5,000 covers 100 of your 1,000 applicants. Add AI notes, scheduling and an applicant tracking system, and your VidCruiter cost becomes a $45,468 year.

The fix takes 3 moves. Price your volume on VidCruiter's own UK government price list. Check what 190 Canadian contracts actually paid, then read the renewal and overage clauses before any sales call.

We sell a competing product, so every number links to its source, and we say where VidCruiter is the better buy.

Key takeaways

  • How much does VidCruiter cost? From £3,915 a year for the platform and 100 pre-recorded interviews, on its own UK government price list.
  • What do public buyers pay for a year? The median 1-year Canadian federal contract is CA$35,910, about US$25,700, across 80 contracts.
  • What does 1 interview cost? £39.15 at 100 applicants a year and £10.50 at 1,000, with the £3,000 platform fee included.
  • Can we try VidCruiter before paying? Not on standard terms: its UK government listing answers "No" on trials, fees are non-refundable, and setup takes 6 to 10 weeks.
  • Is VidCruiter cheaper than HireVue? Not always: 1,000 interviews with AI notes and scheduling list slightly above Vendr's median HireVue buyer, and at about half the FDA's HireVue year.

1. Before I fill in the quote form, what does VidCruiter pricing start at?

VidCruiter pricing starts at £3,915 a year for the platform and 100 pre-recorded video interviews. That is the floor on its own UK government price list, and the published contracts we found run well above it.

VidCruiter shows no prices on its website: its pricing page lists 9 products and a "Request pricing" button.

Every supplier on the UK government's G-Cloud 15 marketplace must upload a pricing document. VidCruiter's G-Cloud 15 price list, dated 22 January 2026, prices each product in pounds, excluding VAT.

The "VidCruiter SaaS Platform" costs £3,000 a term, and the smallest pre-recorded interview bundle, up to 100 applicants, costs £915. Together they make the £3,915 floor.

At the Bank of Canada's 23 October 2026 rates, £1 bought about US$1.34, so the floor comes to about $5,236.

It is not what the published contracts show, though. Of 190 Canadian federal contracts with VidCruiter, 80 ran about 1 year unchanged. Their median value is CA$35,910, about US$25,700, tax and any services included.

That is about 5 times the floor, though only contracts over CA$10,000 are published.

Budget from the floor up, because most published contracts run several times higher. Count your applicants and modules before the first sales call.

2. How does VidCruiter pricing work: per user, per module or per applicant?

You pay a platform fee for each site, then buy a bundle of applicants for every module you switch on. Seats cost nothing extra, so the applicant bundles set your bill.

The £3,000 platform fee includes "Unlimited User Seats", 24/7 support chat and branded applicant screens. It applies "to each active VidCruiter site", so 2 separate sites mean 2 fees.

A test site is its own £1,220 line. Each module then comes in bundles of up to 100, 500 or 1,000 applicants, stackable across any number of jobs.

The catch: bundles last for the subscription term and "do not rollover", so an unused slot is money lost. Say you buy a 1,000 bundle at £7,500 and screen 700 people: you paid £10.71 for each interview you ran, not £7.50.

VidCruiter's Terms of Use, updated 10 September 2026, put the cap in writing. Section 3.2 says usage "is capped to the number of Hires or the number of interviews" in your order form. Past the cap, VidCruiter may bill overage "at its then-current rates", monthly in arrears.

So 3 numbers drive your quote: sites, modules and applicants per module. A candidate who records an interview, is booked into a live one, takes it and gets a reference check uses 4 bundles.

Volume discounts barely move VidCruiter pricing: the G-Cloud listing gives 0% below £250,000 a year, 2.5% up to £500,000 and 8.5% only above £5 million.

3. What does each VidCruiter module cost for 100, 500 or 1,000 applicants?

Interview, scheduling, reference and testing modules list at £500 to £915 for 100 applicants and £5,000 to £7,500 for 1,000. Proctored testing and the applicant tracking system cost far more.

The table copies the G-Cloud 15 list, excluding VAT.

Module Up to 100 Up to 500 Up to 1,000
Pre-recorded video interviews £915 £4,200 £7,500
Live video interviews, recorded Same Same Same
Live video interviews, not recorded £500 £2,600 £5,000
Interview scheduling £610 £2,745 £5,000
Automated reference checks £600 £2,700 £5,000
Skills testing £600 £2,700 £5,000
Skills testing with recorded proctoring £2,440 £12,200 £21,960
AI transcripts, notes and summaries, pre-recorded £375 £1,500 £2,500

A private company's quote may differ, but this is the only public VidCruiter rate card we found.

Bigger bundles cut the price per applicant by only about 18%, from £9.15 at 100 to £7.50 at 1,000.

VidCruiter cost per module: list prices for 100, 500 and 1,000 applicant bundles

VidCruiter module list prices: pre-recorded interviews cost £915, £4,200 or £7,500 by bundle size. Recorded proctoring costs £2,440, £12,200 or £21,960, and AI notes £375, £1,500 or £2,500.

Proctoring is the line to price first. Recorded proctoring costs about 4 times plain testing, £21,960 against £5,000 for 1,000 applicants. If you test candidates under supervision, that module can outweigh the rest of the order.

3.1 Is VidCruiter an ATS, and what does the ATS cost?

Yes. VidCruiter sells an applicant tracking system called VidTracking, listed at £16,000, with the first 100 hires and unlimited applicants included.

Each further 100 hires costs £3,500, so a team hiring 150 people a year pays £19,500 for the ATS before any interview module. Canada's Privy Council Office signed a CA$1,516,460 VidCruiter contract in December 2025 for an "applicant tracking system", running to March 2030.

3.2 Which VidCruiter integrations and add-ons cost extra?

Single sign-on costs £1,250 a year, and a custom API integration £2,500 a year. A Workday, SAP, UKG, ADP, Dayforce or Oracle integration costs £3,000 per term. Microsoft Teams runs from £2,700 for 100 users to £60,000 for 10,000.

For example, a company on Workday that needs single sign-on adds £4,250 a year. That raises the £10,500 list price for 1,000 interviews by 40%, so check which integrations your HR system needs first.

4. With no VidCruiter pricing calculator, what will we pay per interview at our volume?

A pre-recorded interview costs £39.15 at 100 applicants a year and £10.50 at 1,000, platform fee included. Add AI notes and scheduling at 1,000, and each applicant costs £18.

The table divides each yearly list total by the applicants you screen.

Your year on the list Yearly list price Per applicant
100 pre-recorded interviews £3,915 £39.15
500 pre-recorded interviews £7,200 £14.40
1,000 pre-recorded interviews £10,500 £10.50
1,000 interviews with AI notes £13,000 £13
1,000 interviews with AI notes and scheduling £18,000 £18
The same, plus the ATS with 100 hires £34,000 £34

The platform fee explains the spread in VidCruiter pricing per interview. It costs £3,000 whatever your volume, so at 100 applicants it makes up 77% of the bill, and at 1,000 only 29%.

VidCruiter pricing per pre-recorded interview at 100, 500 and 1,000 applicants a year

Cost per pre-recorded interview: £39.15 at 100 applicants a year, £14.40 at 500 and £10.50 at 1,000, with the £3,000 platform fee included.

This means a small team pays mostly for access. At 100 applicants, each interview costs nearly 4 times what it costs at 1,000.

Say you screen 200 people a year. 2 bundles of 100 cost £1,830, less than 1 bundle of 500, so your year comes to £4,830, or £24.15 per applicant.

Adding the ATS with 100 hires lifts the 1,000-applicant year from £18,000 to £34,000, and the ATS makes up 47% of that bill.

To build your own estimate:

  1. Count applicants per module per year, not jobs.
  2. Pick the cheapest mix of 100, 500 and 1,000 bundles for the applicants you will actually screen, because unused slots expire.
  3. Add £3,000 per site, a £1,220 test site if you need one, plus single sign-on and any integrations.
  4. Divide by applicants, then add VAT or sales tax where it applies.

5. Before we shortlist VidCruiter, which companies and agencies use it, and what do they pay?

Canada's federal government is VidCruiter's best-documented buyer: 44 departments signed 190 contracts worth CA$17.7 million, with a median 1-year contract of CA$35,910. Private companies do not publish their contracts, so no company price is public.

Canadian departments must publish every contract over CA$10,000 on open.canada.ca. We downloaded it on 25 October 2026: 285 rows name VidCruiter, under 11 spellings, from February 2017 to March 2026. Folding in amendments and 1 duplicate leaves 190 contracts.

Contracts under CA$10,000 are not published, so the smallest VidCruiter buyers are missing: the £3,915 floor, about US$5,236, falls under that line. The median below only describes buyers who spent at least CA$10,000.

Values include Canadian sales tax, while the G-Cloud price list excludes VAT. They can also cover services such as setup and training, so they show what buyers spent, not a software list price. For a typical year, we kept the 80 contracts that ran 10 to 13.5 months unamended.

VidCruiter cost in 80 one-year Canadian federal contracts, by contract value

1-year contract sizes: of 80 Canadian federal VidCruiter contracts, 29 cost CA$10,000 to CA$25,000 and 32 cost CA$25,000 to CA$50,000. 14 cost CA$50,000 to CA$100,000, 4 cost CA$100,000 to CA$250,000 and 1 cost over CA$250,000.

In other words, 61 of 80 one-year contracts cost less than CA$50,000. The middle half ran from CA$18,590 to CA$49,174, and the 1 outlier is a Canada Revenue Agency first year at CA$999,959.60. 3 findings stand out.

First, 132 of the 190 contracts are non-competitive. But 70 of those were call-ups under a standing offer or supply arrangement VidCruiter had qualified for, so 62 were sole-sourced outright.

Second, 57 of the 190 contracts, about 3 in 10, grew after signing, and the median one more than doubled, by 117%. Global Affairs Canada's contract started at CA$508,330.50 in April 2021 and, after 5 amendments, stands at CA$1,384,022.23.

Third, prices can fall too. The Canada Energy Regulator paid CA$120,162 for 2024 to 2025, then CA$24,150 for 2025 to 2026.

In the UK, year 1 of a Cabinet Office call-off for live video interviewing cost £54,150 excluding VAT, under a £375,000 cap. It now runs to May 2028. HM Treasury signed a £204,600, 3-year contract in 2024, while USAspending.gov shows 0 US federal contracts with VidCruiter.

6. Can we trial VidCruiter before we commit to a yearly contract?

Not on standard terms. VidCruiter's own UK government listing answers "No" when asked whether a trial is available, and its Terms of Use make fees non-refundable.

Some third-party software directories still mark VidCruiter with a trial. 1 top-10 page, from the competitor Pitch N Hire, claims a demo and a "limited" trial. We trust the G-Cloud answer more, because VidCruiter fills in that listing itself.

Section 1 of the Terms of Use calls the fees "non-refundable, non-cancelable, and non-creditable". If you use only half the year, you still pay for all of it.

VidCruiter's G-Cloud service definition puts typical onboarding at 6 to 10 weeks. A team that signs in January may not run its first interview until March.

To test VidCruiter without a full year, ask in writing for a demo site built on 1 of your real roles. Then order the smallest setup, the platform plus 1 bundle of 100 at £3,915, with year-1 fees counted toward a larger order. Our guide to choosing an AI interview tool for recruiters lists what to check on that 1 role.

How Flowmingo helps

If you want to see AI interviews on a real role before any contract, Flowmingo's Free plan costs $0 and has no end date. Each applicant answers in their own time, and you get back a recording, a transcript and a scored evaluation. The trade-off: free sessions show Flowmingo's brand beside yours, and candidates may see optional offers. On Free, scores and transcripts are kept forever and your latest 300 videos for 30 days.

7. Does VidCruiter use AI, and does AI scoring add to the bill?

Yes, VidCruiter runs 6 AI features, and the AI costs extra. AI notes list from £375 per 100 applicants, while AI scoring has no list price.

VidCruiter's AI Statement, updated 9 October 2026, lists them: transcription, AI notes and summaries, translation, assistive job analysis, AI interviewer coaching and "AI Decision Support". The last scores, ranks or rates applicants against criteria the client sets.

The statement says a client may set workflows so applicants move forward or out automatically on those scores. The client then carries the legal duty for that choice, such as any bias audit or impact assessment that applicable law requires. VidCruiter's own AI framework page notes that New York City requires annual bias audits of automated hiring tools.

VidCruiter will help with your audit, but help "that exceeds routine support is provided at the client's reasonable expense". If you hire where AI hiring rules apply, ask for audit support as a priced line in the order form.

AI scoring is "Available where identified in the client's order form", so you only get it, and pay for it, if the order form names it. On the price list, AI notes for live interviews cost £600, £3,000 or £5,500 for 100, 500 or 1,000 applicants.

VidCruiter's About page says the company is "wary of artificial intelligence", yet its comparison page sells an "AI Interviewer". Both can be true, because each AI feature is optional.

8. Which contract terms and extra fees change our VidCruiter pricing after we sign?

VidCruiter bills a year in advance, renews for 1 year at a time and needs 60 days' written notice to stop. It can raise fees at renewal, bill overage monthly and charge 1.5% a month on late invoices.

Your order form can override these Terms of Use defaults.

Clause What it says What to ask for
1, Fees Non-refundable, non-cancelable, non-creditable Credit for unused bundles toward the next term
3.2, Usage cap Overage at then-current rates, billed monthly Overage at your bundle rate
6.1, Price changes Fees may change from the next renewal, with 60 days' written notice A renewal cap, such as 0% to 3%
6.3, Late payment 1.5% a month, 18% a year A grace period for disputed invoices
7.4, Your data Deleted within 30 days of the end, export at your own expense A free full export of videos and scores
13.1, Renewal Renews for 1 year unless you give 60 days' written notice A reminder 90 days out, or an opt-in renewal
AI Statement, audit help Extra help at your expense Audit support priced in the order form
1, Fees (first year) No trial, non-refundable A demo site on 1 real role, year-1 fees credited if you expand

The renewal clause is milder than HireVue's. Its master services agreement v2.2 renews for the longer of the first term or 1 year, adds 10% a year and needs 60 days' notice.

VidCruiter pricing at renewal carries no fixed yearly increase, but no cap stops a rise either: clause 6.1 lets fees change at any renewal.

Diary the dates on the day you sign. For example, a contract signed on 1 March needs written notice by 30 December, 61 days before renewal. Miss it, and it renews for another full year.

8.1 What setup costs should we budget for in year 1?

Standard setup is included: the G-Cloud listing puts "Standard implementation and configuration" in the contract price, and VidCruiter's comparison page says "Implementation fee: No Fee". Yet the price list sells a £2,500 Configuration Package. So ask in writing whether your setup counts as standard.

Up to 10 one-hour advisory sessions cost £2,100, data migration £535, and Canadian-resident support staff with Protected B clearance £40,500.

A custom career page lists at £8,000, though the same line describes a $15,000 build plus $10,000 a year. Get that figure in writing too.

9. HireVue vs VidCruiter: which costs less for 1,000 video interviews a year?

It depends on the add-ons. 1,000 pre-recorded interviews list at $14,042 on their own, below Vendr's $20,900 median HireVue buyer, but $24,071 with AI notes and scheduling, above it.

Vendr, a software buying service, shows 2 HireVue figures. Its marketplace page gives that median, in a range of $9,794 to $41,056. Its buyer guide reports a $49,855 average from 5 deals.

An average far above the median means a few large deals pull it up, so a typical team likely pays nearer the median. A public order sits at the high end. The US Food and Drug Administration's HireVue order 75F40121P00148 renewed at $49,950 a year in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

HireVue quotes a platform by the year, while VidCruiter sells modules, so you pay only for the parts you switch on.

VidCruiter alternatives on price: HireVue contracts against VidCruiter list prices for 1,000 interviews

HireVue vs VidCruiter, US$ a year: HireVue's FDA order cost $49,950, Vendr's average is $49,855 and its median buyer pays $20,900. VidCruiter lists 1,000 interviews at $14,042, $17,385 with AI notes and $24,071 with scheduling too.

The figure compares list prices with contract values, so it is not like for like. A HireVue contract may cover far more than 1,000 interviews. VidCruiter's 1,000-interview setup with AI notes and scheduling costs about half the FDA's year or Vendr's average, but slightly more than Vendr's median.

VidCruiter's VidCruiter vs HireVue page claims more than 75 integrations and "No minimum" applicant volume. Yet the smallest bundle holds 100 applicants and the £3,000 platform fee always applies, so your real minimum is about £3,915 a year.

So with 1 or 2 modules, VidCruiter likely costs less than a typical HireVue year, because each extra module adds a line to the bill.

10. What do VidCruiter reviews say, and is it worth the price for our team?

VidCruiter reviews are strongly positive: Trustpilot shows a 4.7 TrustScore from 51 reviews. It is worth the price for public-sector and regulated hiring, and less so for first-round video interviews alone.

Of those 51 reviews, 88% give 5 stars and 12% give 4, none lower. 51 reviews is a small sample, and the newest is from May 2026, so weigh it as a signal, not proof.

Willo, a competitor, collected the common complaints in its own VidCruiter review. They include a setup of about 2 months, templates that are hard to change once a job is live and reporting limited to admins. Read that list knowing who wrote it.

VidCruiter's security page lists an independent security audit report, 3 ISO security certifications and FIPS 140-2 validated encryption. Data can stay in Canada, the USA, Europe, the UK or Australia.

The price list adds a bilingual English and French platform and WCAG 2.1 AA applicant screens, which suits the 44 Canadian departments in section 5.

So the honest test is fit. If you hire for a public body, need Protected B handling or run 4 or 5 modules, VidCruiter pricing buys real work.

Say you run an agency that needs every applicant to answer the same questions on video. Then you pay a £3,000 platform fee, built around modules you will not use, before the first interview.

11. If we want a price without a sales call, which VidCruiter alternatives publish theirs?

Several VidCruiter alternatives show prices on their own pages, from $39 a month for Hirevire to $249 a month for Spark Hire, billed yearly. None needs a sales call to see a number.

We read each pricing page on 25 October 2026. The table shows the entry price and main limit only, so check scoring, languages and integrations against your must-haves before you switch. Our guide to automated interview tools covers those checks.

Tool Published price Main limit on the entry plan Trial
Hirevire From $39 a month, billed yearly 1 active job, 1 user, 300 interviews a year 7 days
Hireflix From $75 a month, billed yearly Companies under 50 employees 1 month
Spark Hire From $249 a month, billed yearly Price varies by company size. Monthly plan: 5 jobs, 5 users Not listed
Willo $59 (£49) per live role a month, or from $3,799 (£2,999) a year Lite: up to 5 live roles, 150 candidates per role Not listed
VidCruiter Quote only, list from £3,915 a year 100 applicants per module bundle No

Hirevire and Hireflix cap jobs, users or company size, while Willo bills per live role and VidCruiter bills per applicant per module.

This means your volume decides the winner. For example, Hireflix's small plan costs $900 a year for a company under 50 staff. VidCruiter's floor, nearly 6 times that, covers only 100 applicants.

Our guide to AI interview cost per candidate works the same math at 100, 1,000 and 10,000 interviews.

If you already use VidCruiter, note your renewal date and the 60-day notice it needs. Price last year's applicants per module on the section 3 list, and test an option on your next open role.

How Flowmingo helps

Flowmingo is a free AI hiring platform, and every price sits on its pricing page. AI interviews, CV evaluation, tests and an applicant tracking system come unlimited on every plan, including Free at $0, with unlimited team members.

Each applicant takes the AI interview in their own time, in 60+ languages, and you get the recording, the transcript and a scored evaluation.

Free sessions show our brand and optional candidate offers. Sponsoring an AI interview for $0.49 on Free removes both. So 1,000 sponsored interviews cost $490 a year, against the £10,500 VidCruiter lists for the same volume. Scale, at $4,069.80 a year, covers unlimited sponsored sessions under fair use, so set your next VidCruiter pricing quote beside Flowmingo.
