What the Zoho Recruit extension does

What the Zoho Recruit extension does

Flowmingo Assessments adds a Send Flowmingo assessment button to every candidate in Zoho Recruit:

  • Click the button, pick one of your Flowmingo assessments — an AI interview, a role-play simulation or a skills test — and send. Flowmingo emails the candidate the invitation; Zoho Recruit sends nothing itself.
  • The candidate completes the assessment in the browser, on any device.
  • When the evaluation is ready, Flowmingo writes the result back onto the candidate record: Flowmingo Score (0–100), Flowmingo Status and Flowmingo Report, a link to the full report with transcript, per-question scores and the hiring recommendation.

The extension works on every Flowmingo plan that includes the public API.

Step 1 — Install the extension

Step 1 — Install the extension

  1. In Zoho Recruit, open Setup → Marketplace → All and search for Flowmingo Assessments, or open the listing on the Zoho Marketplace and click Install.
  2. Accept the extension's terms and choose who can use it (all users, or selected profiles).
  3. Zoho asks you to authorise two connections during the install:
    • Flowmingo Recruit — lets the extension read the candidate you send from and write the result back onto it. Click Connect and allow access for your Zoho Recruit organisation.
    • Flowmingo API key — lets the extension talk to your Flowmingo organisation. Paste the API key from Step 2 when asked and click Connect.

The installing user should be a Zoho Recruit administrator. The connections are shared by everyone who uses the button, so only one person has to set them up.

Step 2 — Create your Flowmingo API key

Step 2 — Create your Flowmingo API key

The extension authenticates to Flowmingo with an API key that belongs to your Flowmingo organisation.

  1. In Flowmingo, open Settings → Integrations → API keys (an organisation admin sees this tab).
  2. Click Create API key, name it Zoho Recruit, and choose the scopes Read hiring data (read_hiring) and Invite candidates (invite_candidates). The preset AI assistant — read + actions includes both.
  3. Copy the key — it is shown once. It looks like fl_live_xxxxxxxxx.…. Paste it into the Flowmingo API key connection in Step 1.

Keep the key private: anyone holding it can invite candidates under your organisation. Revoking it in Flowmingo disconnects the extension immediately; to reconnect, create a new key and update the connection under Setup → Marketplace → Installed → Flowmingo Assessments → Connections.

Step 3 — Send an assessment to a candidate

Step 3 — Send an assessment to a candidate

  1. Open the candidate in Zoho Recruit and click Send Flowmingo assessment at the top of the record.
  2. The window shows the candidate's name and email address — Flowmingo emails the invitation to that address, so add one to the record first if it is missing.
  3. Choose the assessment. The list is your organisation's active AI interview sets, role-play simulations and skills tests in Flowmingo, newest first.
  4. Click Send invitation. The candidate's Flowmingo Status becomes sent and Flowmingo Order Id is filled in; the candidate receives the invitation email within a couple of minutes, and a new submission appears in Flowmingo under that assessment.

Sending the same assessment to the same candidate again does not create a second invitation — the original one is kept.

Step 4 — Read the results

Step 4 — Read the results

As soon as the candidate's assessment is evaluated and released to your team, Flowmingo updates the candidate:

Field on the candidate Meaning
Flowmingo Score the overall score on a 0–100 scale (an AI-interview rating of 7.5/10 shows as 75)
Flowmingo Status completed the candidate finished and the evaluation is available
Flowmingo Status completed, no score the AI could not rate the recording (for example no usable audio); open the report for the details
Flowmingo Report the full Flowmingo report — no Flowmingo login is needed for that link

Results normally arrive within a few minutes of the candidate finishing. If your Flowmingo plan holds reports for a candidate retake or review window, the score appears when that window closes. Because the fields are ordinary candidate fields, you can use them in Zoho Recruit list views, filters and workflow rules — for example to move candidates who score above 70 to the next stage.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting

"Could not load assessments" in the send window. The Flowmingo API key connection is missing, mistyped or revoked. Create a new key with Read hiring data and Invite candidates and update the connection under Setup → Marketplace → Installed → Flowmingo Assessments.

The list of assessments is empty. Your Flowmingo organisation has no active assessment yet. Create one in Flowmingo and reopen the window.

The candidate did not receive the email. Check the address on the candidate record, then the submission in Flowmingo (the assessment's candidate list): the invitation and its delivery status are shown there, and you can resend from Flowmingo.

The score has not come back. The candidate may not have finished; open Flowmingo to see the submission's state. Results are written back automatically — there is nothing to refresh in Zoho Recruit.
