The short answer
Jobma's current AI interviewer is conversational. It uses initial questions and selected competencies to guide an adaptive exchange. Recruiters can join and take over a session, while the wider platform also supports fixed one-way interviews, live interviews and technical assessments. Those formats have different purposes and commercial allowances[1,2].
Flowmingo focuses the core workflow on a configurable AI interview and its evidence. Applicants complete the interview independently; the hiring team reviews recordings, transcripts and criterion scores in an included tracker. Free includes unlimited interviews, projects and team members. Technical Tests also support code execution.
Choose the human involvement you actually need. Jobma's same-session takeover is a specific capability worth demonstrating if recruiters intend to intervene during an AI interview. Flowmingo's Interview Companion supports recruiter-led browser calls, with installation and availability to confirm. A live companion and taking over an autonomous session are different workflows[1,3].
2 more differences worth knowing
One-way volume does not establish AI interview volume
Jobma lists unlimited one-way interviews across its tiers. That does not establish unlimited autonomous AI interviews. Request the format-specific entitlement in the quote[2].
See the detailJoining the same AI session is a precise workflow
Jobma allows human takeover during an autonomous interview. Flowmingo also supports human-interview work through Interview Companion, subject to setup and availability. Test the specific handoff needed[1].

Pricing: what each one costs you
Ask Jobma to price the autonomous format explicitly.
Jobma's current plan table lists Starter, Growth, Professional and Enterprise, each with a request-pricing route. The table distinguishes one-way, live and autonomous interviews. No public numeric subscription or ongoing free employer plan was established[2].
| What | Jobma | |
|---|---|---|
| Subscription | All four tiers require a quote[2] | Free US$0; Starter US$49/month; Growth US$99/month |
| One-way volume | Unlimited listed across tiers[2] | Core workflow is an adaptive AI interview |
| Autonomous AI volume | Confirm entitlement and usage in writing | Unlimited AI interviews on every plan |
| Users | 1 / 3 / 10 / unlimited; some paid add-on scope[2] | Unlimited team members |
| Active positions | 5 / 15 / 60 / unlimited[2] | Unlimited hiring projects |
| Technical and live formats | Confirm selected tier and separate usage[2,4] | Scope Technical Tests and any human-call tools separately |
Start the quote with the format, not just the plan name. If the requirement is a conversational AI first round, specify autonomous interviews and expected completions. Do not substitute a line about unlimited one-way recordings. Ask whether usage is measured by interview, candidate, minute or another unit, and how retries or incomplete sessions affect the allowance.
Seats and active positions can determine the package even when interview volume is modest. A staffing firm may need several recruiters and client reviewers across many roles, while a smaller employer may concentrate on one vacancy. Clarify whether clients consume users, how role archiving works and what additional users cost. Compare those terms with Flowmingo's unlimited team and project baseline.
Price the human handoff according to the proposed operating model. A capability to join an AI interview has little value if no recruiter is available when candidates participate. Establish whether the team will monitor sessions, join only selected appointments or use the feature exceptionally. Include any live-session entitlement and the staff time required to operate that process.
For Flowmingo, optional branding, downloads and longer video retention may justify a paid plan even though core interview volume is unlimited. Free retains the latest 300 interview videos for 30 days; scores, results and transcripts remain available. Compare the same evidence-retention requirement on Jobma rather than treating storage and interview allowance as interchangeable limits.
Flowmingo's plans: Free is $0 with unlimited AI interviews. Starter ($49 a month) and Growth ($99 a month) add your brand on what you share, downloads, longer assessments and longer-kept interview videos. See pricing.
How these numbers were worked out
- First-party plan and product pages checked on 4 October 2026.
- One-way, live and autonomous interview entitlements are kept distinct.
- No unverified subscription amount or unlimited autonomous allowance is inferred.
- The comparison excludes assumed prices for add-ons, implementation or live participation.
The AI interview: adaptive questions with an optional human takeover
Jobma lets teams define the starting structure and competencies, while the AI generates follow-ups during the conversation. Its FAQ clarifies that recruiters do not pre-customize every generated question. Flowmingo offers editable questions and criteria with adaptive spoken follow-ups[1].

| What | Jobma | |
|---|---|---|
| Initial setup | Initial questions, difficulty and evaluation parameters[1] | Editable questions and importance-weighted criteria |
| Follow-up control | AI generates contextual questions[1] | AI asks follow-ups during the spoken interview |
| Human participation | Recruiter can join and continue the same session[3] | Separate recruiter-led Companion workflow; confirm installation |
| One-way alternative | Fixed recorded-answer format also available[2] | Core AI interview collects conversational answers |
| Coding | Custom tests, code stubs and test cases[4] | Executable coding questions with sandbox verification |
| Decision | People retain the hiring decision[1] | Recruiter reviews evidence and decides |
Define when a recruiter would intervene. It might be to explore a specialist answer, clarify an unusual career history or continue a promising conversation. Test how the candidate is notified, whether the earlier context is visible and how the final report represents the human portion. A seamless technical handoff still needs a clear experience for the person answering[3].
Compare the automated portion using the same role requirements. Provide an answer that needs clarification and inspect whether the generated follow-up is relevant, neutral and proportionate. Initial question control does not mean every subsequent question is pre-approved, so understand the guardrails and review a range of sample exchanges before a larger rollout.
For technical roles, test the exercise rather than merely confirming that coding exists. Jobma supports test cases and code stubs; Flowmingo Technical Tests execute code as well. Compare allowed tools, time limits, expected outputs and the evidence available to reviewers. Decide whether the coding result and spoken explanation answer distinct questions about the applicant's readiness.
What your applicants experience
Jobma combines several candidate experiences under one platform. A fixed one-way recording, autonomous conversation and live human interview need different instructions. Its product updates describe candidate preparation improvements, including a walkthrough and practice experience[6].
Tell candidates what kind of interview they are starting. Someone preparing a recorded response may use their time differently from someone entering a two-way conversation. If a human might join, explain that possibility before the session rather than letting it feel like an unexpected observer. Review the invitation, preparation screen and completion message as one experience.
Language claims need careful reading. Jobma advertises multilingual participation and translation, while specific large counts on its pages refer to transcription. Do not turn a transcription count into a verified number of spoken AI interview languages. Ask for a complete session in the target language and check both the candidate-facing questions and reviewer-facing transcript[1,2].
For coding candidates, test the device recommendation and practice flow with someone outside the hiring team. A candidate should discover browser, keyboard or environment requirements before the timed exercise begins. Collect feedback on clarity and support from incomplete attempts as well as successful sessions. That prevents a polished completion experience from hiding setup friction.
| What | Jobma | |
|---|---|---|
| Format clarity | One-way, autonomous and live formats available[2] | Explain the configured AI interview or test |
| Preparation | Candidate walkthrough and practice updates[6] | Browser camera and microphone check |
| Human arrival | Candidate notified when a recruiter joins[3] | Explain separately scheduled human-call tools |
| Language | Confirm spoken AI support; transcription counts are separate[1,2] | 60+ spoken AI interview languages |
| Invitation | Validate the selected format's invitation workflow | Email; enabled eligible paid WhatsApp invitations with credits |
| Technical device | Coding page recommends a suitable device, preferably laptop[4] | Check the requirements of the configured Technical Test |

What comes back after each interview
Jobma describes recorded sessions, timestamped searchable transcripts and AI summaries against role competencies. Flowmingo also pairs recorded evidence with criterion scores and written reasons. A combined AI-and-human session adds another question: which observations and ratings came from which part of the interview[3].
| What | Jobma | |
|---|---|---|
| Recording | Autonomous session recording available for review[1] | Recorded interview answers |
| Transcript | Timestamped and searchable[3] | Transcript alongside the assessment |
| Evaluation | Role-based insights and score recommendation[3] | Criterion ratings, reasons, strengths and gaps |
| Human contribution | Confirm report treatment after takeover | Recruiter review remains distinct from AI assessment |
| Coding evidence | Structured technical results and analysis[4] | Executable test evidence and interview evaluation |
| Integrity signals | Proctoring flags available for review[1] | Review configured evidence and escalation needs |

Overall scoreUse the transcript to challenge one recommendation. Ask a reviewer to find the answer behind a strong rating and another behind a weak rating. Compare whether the explanation is grounded in the candidate's words or merely restates the criterion. A timestamp is useful only if the reviewer can reach the relevant evidence with their actual account permissions.
When a human takes over, establish how the assessment stays comparable. One applicant may receive additional clarification while another completes only the AI portion. Decide whether that extra evidence belongs in the same score, a separate note or a later-stage review. The platform can support the handoff, but the hiring team needs a consistent interpretation of the result.
Keep different scoring scales distinct. Jobma's materials describe percentage recommendations, while Flowmingo uses criterion ratings and an importance-weighted overall result. A similar-looking number does not mean the systems have measured the same thing. Compare the evidence and rubric first; do not translate one score mechanically into the other's threshold without validation.
Integrations and workflow
| What | Jobma | |
|---|---|---|
| Interview portfolio | One-way, live and autonomous formats[2] | AI interviews and hiring projects |
| Technical work | Coding tests integrated with video workflows[4] | Technical Tests with code execution |
| ATS ecosystem | Named integration partners[5] | API, webhooks and MCP for custom integrations |
| Connection allowance | Published plan table differentiates integrations[2] | Confirm any named native connector's current availability |
| Team workflow | Plan-specific users and active positions[2] | Unlimited team members and projects |
| Human interviewing | Live interview platform and AI-session takeover[1,8] | Interview Companion; confirm installation and availability |
Evaluate the connector for the interview format being purchased. A Jobma integration that handles one-way recordings may need different configuration for autonomous sessions or technical tests. Ask for the actual invitation trigger, completion event, score fields and report permissions. A partner directory is a useful starting point, not proof that every assessment type has identical support[5].
Flowmingo provides custom integration routes and its own applicant tracker. If a team already uses an ATS, decide which system owns stage changes and which stores the authoritative assessment. Confirm current connector availability and setup requirements for your account. Test a candidate with two applications so evidence cannot silently attach to the wrong role.
A portfolio with several interview formats can reduce tool switching, but only when the team uses those formats coherently. Define when a candidate receives a one-way screen, an autonomous conversation, a coding test or a live panel. Remove repeated questions across stages. The buying decision should reflect that designed process rather than the longest available feature list.

Scoring, oversight and candidate data
Review how automated and human evidence enter the same decision
Jobma publishes privacy information and describes employer review of recordings, transcripts and proctoring flags. Its materials also state that the AI does not make the final hiring decision. Review the actual configuration and current documentation rather than adopting broad fairness or compliance marketing as an independent conclusion[1,7].
Ask who can enter an interview and what the candidate sees. Human takeover should have a clear permission model and notification, especially when several recruiters or agency clients use the workspace. Review the record of participation and how notes are shared. An available feature should be configured around the employer's assessment process, not left to ad hoc intervention.
Review security and privacy evidence for the exact service and contract. A public certification statement is a starting point for requesting the underlying scope, not an independent verification performed by this comparison. For proctoring signals, define how a reviewer checks context and handles a disputed result before those signals influence hiring decisions.
| What | Jobma | |
|---|---|---|
| Decision responsibility | Human recruiters make the final decision[1] | Recruiter decides who advances |
| AI explanation | Role-based summaries and recommendations[3] | Written criterion reasons with evidence |
| Human takeover | Define notice, access and report treatment[3] | Confirm consent and setup for recruiter-led tools |
| Privacy | Published privacy policy[7] | Published privacy and processing terms |
| Integrity | Review flags and supporting context[1] | Define a human escalation process |
| Retention | Confirm interview, transcript and ATS-copy terms | Plan-dependent recording retention; results remain |
